Is Sugar Hijacking Your Willpower?

The diet and food industries have sold us the idea that maintaining a healthy weight and a healthy relationship with food is all about willpower. But have you ever noticed how easy it is to devour an entire bag of M&Ms but it’s not likely that you would binge on kale?

This workshop will teach you the impact of sugar on your brain chemistry and help you understand why the concept of self-control and willpower is a total myth. It will also give you solid strategies to implement to help you experience fewer cravings and take control without deprivation.

Offered Tuesday, July 9 at 12:30 pm and Monday, July 15 at 7:00 pm at Fit in Boonsboro. Cost is $15.00 per person and is open to members and non-members!

Weekly Support Group

I will be collaborating with Lee Daugherty of BEAST Boonsboro to offer a weekly goal setting, mindset, and workout group. It is designed to help you take an INSIDE-OUT approach to living a healthier and happier life.

We will meet on Sundays from 9-10 am at the BEAST Boonsboro gym to exchange ideas and strategies designed to structure our upcoming week for success.

Weekly topics include habit change, meal planning, nutrition and exercise tips, spiritual discussion and more. Each session ends with an optional self-paced 20-30 minute exercise session. All sessions are hosted by Lee Daugherty and/or myself.

The group begins the first Sunday in April (4/7) and is currently set to run through the end of May. Each session is an investment of $10 and is limited to 12 attendees.

The group is open to all so grab a friend and join us!

I lead the Maryland Chapter of the Girls Empowerment Movement (GEMS). This group is geared for girls in grades 1-5 and is designed to empower young girls to step into their greatness. It currently operates as a mother-daughter group and we gather monthly.

As moms, we offer our girls a great gift and can model through our interactions with each other what it looks like to be kind, confident, and empowered.

I am passionate about motivating and encouraging my participants and love choreographing powerful music with empowering mind/body cues to help my riders master their mindset and tap into their inner power and strength.
